IP69K: a baton you can pressure wash
Tagtough and Mini Rock batons are built to IP69K, the highest rating for dust and water protection.
Reading an IP rating
An IP code has two digits. The first is protection against dust and solid objects, the second against water.
- 6 is the top dust rating: nothing gets in.
- 9K is the top water rating: the enclosure withstands close-range, high-pressure, high-temperature water jets.
What it means on site
- A baton dropped in mud can be hosed clean.
- Rain, dust storms and wash-down areas are not a problem.
- It suits food plants, farms, mines and vehicle wash bays, where equipment is cleaned with pressure washers.
Our stainless steel batons are also hermetically sealed, so the electronics never meet the outside air. The Suga Blu baton is rated IP68: dust tight and protected against immersion.
